About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to join our Consumer Lending Operational Risk Team at Wells Fargo Bank. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in conducting data-driven analysis insights across various areas, including risk and control environment, issue management, and operational risk events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliver strategic insights and decision strategies within analytics and reporting.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models.
  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.
  • Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Analytics or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience.
  • Relevant years of experience using SQL within a variety of database sources such as SAS, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
  • Knowledge of Banking and financial in Consumer lending, Deposit Product Group, Card Retails and Merchant Services, investment solution, and commercial banking is preferable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management in the financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Perform highly complex analytics leveraging data across areas such as Risk & Control, Operational Risk Events/Losses, Issue Management, etc., and other business-specific data to understand pockets of high concentration of operational risk for the ORBO team.
  • Build routines to proactively track and analyze key metrics and bring forward actionable insights in a timely manner.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques/decision sciences to answer complex questions by leveraging a wide array of risk and business data.
  • Translate highly complex analysis into simple/actionable insights and create compelling stories in PowerPoint for effective decision making.
