Financial Transaction Processor Job Description

  • The core responsibility of this role is to manage and process financial transactions submitted through various channels. The key aspect is to ensure all documents are accurate and keyed in accordance with the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) line.
  • Verify all financial transaction entries, ensuring debits and credits are balanced, and make necessary adjustments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review Positive Pay Exceptions and deposit returns.
  • Qualifications include a degree in finance, commerce, or business administration.
  • Familiarity with deposit operations, financial transactions processing, and banking policies & procedures is essential.
  • Knowledge of account opening and servicing procedures for checking, savings, CDs, and money market accounts is required.
  • The successful candidate should be flexible in their shift work and willing to relocate as per business needs.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office suite are necessary.
  • This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cross-functional collaboration is also an important aspect of this position.
