Business Development Expert Wanted

Our organization is seeking an accomplished Business Development specialist to lead growth initiatives in the petrochemicals sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth in the petrochemicals vertical, focusing on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities in India and internationally, particularly underperforming oil rigs.
  • Drive M&A strategy end-to-end, from target identification to integration, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.
  • Build and leverage strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute deals efficiently.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.
  • Represent the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Align expansion strategies with overall business goals through close collaboration with the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, including rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, particularly in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
