Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on paint shop equipment and utilities to ensure smooth operations with minimal downtime and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine preventative and predictive maintenance for pretreatment systems, electro deposition systems, paint booths, robots, ovens, conveyors, air handling units, chillers and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and automation issues.
  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns with minimal production loss, perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Implement total productive maintenance initiatives to improve mean time between failures and reduce mean time to repair.
  • Manage critical spares inventory for paint shop equipment, raise procurement requests, monitor consumption and coordinate with stores/purchase.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, checklists and shutdown schedules and ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and EHS norms.
  • Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers and service providers for equipment servicing, upgrades and support new project commissioning, modifications and line expansions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 10-15 years of experience in paint shop maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of paint shop processes and equipment, robot troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in automation
