**Job Description: EHS Officer**

Location: Tiruvallur, Chennai (willing to relocate to Tiruvallur)

Educational Qualification: BE / Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health or Environment Management.

Experience: 5 to 7 Years

Job Requirements:
**Health**: Monitor & Measurement of Industrial hygiene systems, (Noise, Lux and Ergonomics)

Health risk assessment at work place and analysis. Conduct training programs, audits & corrective action for the same.

**Environment**: Knowledge about legal compliance TNCB, Water act, Factory act, Explosives act.

To play an important role in Water Management initiatives.

**Safety**: Risk management techniques -Firefighting systems, Installation & running of fixed & mobile firefighting system

HIRA, Job safety analysis. Facilitate in CSG Standards audit and action plan completion

Investigate accidents (cause effect diagnosis-6M)-Record maintenance (Accidents), Action Analysis & Appropriate action for the same.

Prepare on-site and off-site emergency plan. Conducting periodic mock drills. Would be responsible for the development emergency response team.

Conducting periodical safety committee meetings and address non-conformance on timely basis. Able to conduct safety audit in the continuous process industry and find out

unsafe acts and conditions.

Online monthly reporting related to EHS.

Continuous Shop floor visit and ensuring involvement of employees in identifying unsafe acts and conditions and facilitating them to address the same irrespective of their area PPE's selection to procurement and ensure 100% compliance on shop floor. Preparation of safety budget on yearly basis and administer the same.

Drive safety promotional program like Safety Month, Environment Day, road safety international EHS Day to involve employees and strengthen safety culture across the organization.

**Other Requirements**: Strong understanding of the legal health and safety guidelines relevant to the industry. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficient use of HSE management software and tools. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. Strong analytical skills to assess risks and devise realistic solutions. Ability to train and influence others regarding safety practices and environmental compliance.
