Legal Associate Job Description

Job Role:

The Legal Associate will be responsible for providing legal support to business teams in various areas including debt fund-raising, structuring of transactions, and advising on regulatory environments relevant to the BFSI sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising business teams on debt fund-raising, research and structuring of transactions.
  • Structuring, negotiating and finalising debt fund-raise documents, term loans, debentures and securitisation.
  • Providing transaction advisory support for investments.
  • Reviewing and negotiating service agreements, vendor contracts, employment agreements, consultancy agreements, NDAs, admin related contracts etc.
  • Advising on other general corporate commercial matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Law degree from a recognised university.
  • Between 2-3 years of relevant PQE.
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating equity or debt transactions documents.
  • Experience in legal drafting, research, and negotiation of commercial contracts.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with corporate, transactions or banking practice at a corporate law firm is preferred.
