As a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will provide strategic leadership and operational financial management. You will oversee and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling processes, and implement budget control mechanisms across the firm and portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Control:
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
    • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling processes.
    • Implement and enforce budget control mechanisms.
    • Consolidate financial data across businesses.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and drive profitability.
  • Strategic Finance & Business Partnering:
    • Review and validate financial reporting.
    • Provide diligence and oversight during investments and fundraising.
    • Support leadership with actionable insights on capital allocation and performance optimization.
    • Drive financial strategies aligned with the firm's growth goals.
  • Negotiations & Contract Oversight:
    • Lead and oversee contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and employees.
    • Manage financial/legal negotiations to ensure optimal outcomes.
    • Partner with legal and business teams to reduce risks and improve deal terms.
  • Performance Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Drive company-wide and employee-level performance management.
    • Support leadership in building compensation structures tied to performance and cost efficiency.
    • Build dashboards and reporting tools to track business, team, and portfolio performance.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and legal counsel.
  • Team Leadership & Oversight:
    • Lead, mentor, and challenge finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
    • Establish strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.
    • Ensure all finance team outputs and portfolio company reports are reviewed, validated, and optimized.
