Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to drive strategic sourcing and procurement operations, optimize costs, ensure compliance, and support organizational growth through effective vendor management and market intelligence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • To conduct in-depth research on the Excipients marketplace, identifying emerging trends, potential suppliers, quality standards, and regulatory compliance and competitive pricing structures.
  • To devise best-in-class procurement strategies for shortlisting products for short-term and long-term contracts.
  • To identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, contract renegotiations, price negotiations, value engineering initiatives, and exploring alternative API/Excipients solutions.
  • To engage in negotiations for all Class A vendors in partnership with the commercial team for materials contributing 60% of total spend across API and Excipient Category.
  • To assess potential risks associated with API dependencies, including vendor lock-in, data security, and compliance issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • To navigate fluctuating market conditions, including pricing volatility and supply chain disruptions.
  • To ensure adherence to stringent regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • To continuously assess vendor risk and develop mitigation strategies in response to potential challenges.

Requirements:
  • Sc/M.Pharm/B.Pharma/BE/BTech or similar degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in procurement and strategic sourcing.
