Process Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing various processes across different plants. Your key tasks will include preparing and reviewing process descriptions, equipment lists, and plant performance data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop process design criteria
  • Design and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs)
  • Prepare Detailed Specifications (DSDS) of bought out and fabricated equipment
  • Conduct mass balance and heat balance calculations
  • Evaluate equipment sizing and plant hydraulic calculations
  • Prepare line and valve lists
  • Prepare process data for instrumentation
  • Perform process calculations using software, including pressure drop and relief systems analysis
  • Review plant layouts, general arrangement drawings, and 3D models
  • Coordinate and participate in Hazard Operability Studies (HAZOP)
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and documents
  • Develop plant operation and maintenance manuals, as well as safety manuals

You will also be fully involved in testing and commissioning of plants, field engineering, studying and troubleshooting plants, and coordinating with other process engineers to ensure completeness of the engineering work.
