Job Overview

This role involves managing IT contracts from inception to closure, ensuring adherence to organizational and legal requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and draft IT contracts in line with organizational standards and legal frameworks.
  • Identify contractual risks at the clause level, document them in a report format, and obtain necessary sign-offs where applicable.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure timely closure of agreements.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all IT-related contracts/agreements, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal requirements.
  • Drive and implement IT contract management policies and establish standard practices across IT functions.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to define and finalize Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliverables for Agreements/Contracts/Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Liaise with the Corporate Legal team and external counsel to incorporate standard/general clauses in IT contract templates.
  • Provide post-contractual support, including tracking performance, compliance, and renewal timelines.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with vendors' legal and business teams to support contract negotiations and resolutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legal frameworks related to IT contracts.
  • Hands-on experience in contract drafting, clause-level risk identification, and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in handling contract management tools and reporting systems.
  • Domain expertise in IT/BFSI sector (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance).
  • Sound understanding of vendor and team management.
  • Experience in coordinating with internal stakeholders and external legal teams.
  • Team management skills, including delegation and performance management.
  • Vendor management skills, including negotiation, compliance, and relationship management.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
