About This Role
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with expertise in commercial contracts to fill this senior legal counsel position.
Job Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts, including vendor agreements and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the transport and distribution industry.
- Craft and manage complex commercial contracts, procurement contracts, customer agreements, service-level agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations and conclude contracts with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with business goals and legal standards.
- Collaborate with business teams to structure contracts and mitigate contractual risks.
- Utilize Contract Lifecycle Management tool (CLM) to manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including reviewing, drafting, approval workflows, execution, renewal, and repository management.
- Strong expertise in contract review and negotiation.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with different departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Good working knowledge of fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts, database management, and analytics.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of current and legally binding Commercial contractual language and terminology.
- Familiarity with compliance software and reporting tools.
