Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop In Charge to lead our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in machine operations, set-up, maintenance.

">
  • The successful candidate will oversee the daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them effectively to employees.
  • They will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the necessary standards and specifications by overseeing quality control.
  • Additionally, they will adhere to and enforce safety regulations and protocols to avoid accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaboration with other supervisors and management teams to meet company-wide production goals will also be expected.
  • Furthermore, the Machine Shop In Charge will resolve worker grievances or submit unsettled grievances to higher management for action.
">Daily Responsibilities">
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
  • Monitor productivity and improve machine utilization on a daily basis.
  • Develop FTP (Fixture/Tooling/Part Programming) for NPD and prepare work instruction, tool list, operation sheets, and shop floor inspection methodology.
  • Resolve technical issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives for capacity enhancement.

  • Analyzing job rejection and taking corrective action for non-occurrence and working on process improvements.
  • Maintain QMS documents for central machine SOP.
  • Achieve first-pass yield.
  • Cost-saving initiatives.
">Special Skills">
  • Industry 4.0 TPM-Trak application for productivity monitoring and downtime reduction.
  • Shopfloor improvement initiatives like 5S, TPM, Lean, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, KPI.
  • CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens).
  • Machining.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Lean manufacturing.

">Preferred Qualifications">
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills and thorough understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience with metrology tools and processes for part inspection (CMM/Contour/2D height/Roughness tester).
  • Experienced G-code programming at the machine control.
  • Good communication skills, math skills, and attention to detail.
  • MasterCAM and SolidWorks/Edgecam/AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ms Office - Excel/PowerPoint/Power-BI/SAP.
  • Self-starter/self-motivated/flexible.
  • Positive customer-focused attitude.
  • Enjoys fast-paced and rapidly changing environments.
">Experience">
  • More than 5 years' experience required.
  • Hands-on experience required in complex valve parts machining in CNC machines (5-Axis, 4-axis), Turn mill, Mill-Turn, Trevisan, DMG/Heller, TAKISAWA/MAZAK/DOOSAN, HMC/VMC, and TC/VTL machines.
  • More than 5 years' experience in CNC programming cum setting with tool selection (Turning & milling solutions).
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T experience required for not less than 3 years.
  • MasterCAM operation and part program generation, tool designing/cycle time estimation.
  • Metrology tools and processes for part inspection preparation for more than 5 years.
  • New generation cutting tools with applications.
  • Familiarity with best practice TPM/Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma/VSM/5S.
  • Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
