Insurance Business Analyst

Our Role:

As an Insurance Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and create detailed mappings to support system implementations, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
  • Create detailed as-is and to-be process maps using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS to visualize workflows and identify inefficiencies
  • Define and document data flows between systems, ensuring alignment with business rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify gaps between current and desired states and propose actionable solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories to support development and testing teams.
  • Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Visio, Lucidchart, or other diagramming tools.
