Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to join our team. As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive capital cost estimates for construction projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing contract packages, including amendments to standard forms.
  • Developing pricing documents for tender packages and providing guidance on tendering procedures.
  • Creatingspecifications for tenderers and developing tender evaluation criteria.
  • Negotiating with tenderers and determining amounts due to contractors for price variations.
  • Evaluating claims and preparing monthly Cost Reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of QS and cost management processes.
  • Chartered QS certification from a recognized organization (RICS, SCSI, AIQS, NZIQS).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and IT literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to coordinate with global teams across multiple offices.
  • Organized self-starter with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
