We are seeking a skilled Conventional Underwriter to join our team of experts. As a key member of our lending operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and underwriting mortgage loans in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in live underwriting and real-time analysis, with excellent income calculation and debt-to-income (DTI) ratio calculation skills. Additionally, they will possess expertise in the 4C's framework (Credit, Capacity, Collateral and Capital), credit report analysis and letter of explanation (LOX).

Familiarity with credit bureau documents, account types and risk assessment is also essential. The successful candidate will be able to review loan data, reports and inspections to ensure collateral acceptability and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing mortgage loan applications for eligibility, accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyzing loan data, reports and inspections to determine collateral acceptability.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Providing final approval for mortgage loans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Required qualifications include:

  • A degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in conventional/government end-to-end underwriting.
  • Knowledge of all 4C's of underwriting (Asset, Income, Credit and Collateral).
