Job Title: Linux Software Repository Maintainer

We are seeking a skilled professional to maintain the integrity of our software repository.

This position involves ensuring timely updates, upgrades, and patches to ensure the smooth functioning of our software.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux, bash scripting, C, and Python, with the ability to compile and create software from source code.

Patching, creating, providing, and managing software patches are essential skills for this role. The candidate should also be able to understand and create Makefiles as necessary, monitor and stay current with CVEs, maintain changelogs and documentation, provide bug fixes, debug with gdb if needed, review changes, and have knowledge of CVS and Git.

Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to connect with upstream developers for solutions are also required.

Prior experience with Slackware Linux is highly valued, but not mandatory. The successful candidate should be fluent in English, possess good verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and meet deadlines.
