Job Title: Linux Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux infrastructure specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Linux-based systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, including experience with Red Hat or CentOS, UNIX/Linux, automation/configuration management tools, and server hardware and software. You should also have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Linux-based systems and infrastructure, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and configurations using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and project alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent field of study.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including Red Hat or CentOS, UNIX/Linux, and server hardware and software.
  • Expert-level knowledge of automation/configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, and Python.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:
  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
  • Performance troubleshooting and capacity planning experience.
  • Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and tuning of Linux / Unix OS.
  • Strong knowledge on server hardware and software.
  • Prepares installs, and implements Linux / UNIX operating software and associated components.
  • User Administration using LDAP.
  • VMware Administration – Virtualization techniques or any other virtualization technology.
  • System security, patching and upgradations.
  • Host-based SAN migrations and good experience with SAN LUNS scanning and mapping etc.,
  • LVM and Linux File systems,
  • Tuning kernel/System parameters,
  • Oracle ASM and SAN Storage,
  • TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NFS experience/tips/tricks.
