Senior System Engineer Job Summary

As a Senior System Engineer, you will provide day-to-day support of client networks, servers, storage, and overall infrastructure.

  • Maintain our clients' IT infrastructure remotely and at customer site(s) when needed.
  • Help architect and implement a wide range of IT projects, such as high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Be the escalation path for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve.
  • Work closely with Managers, Service Coordinators, and other Engineers to meet customer service-level commitments and provide world-class customer service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, remote or on-premise as needed.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining our clients' IT infrastructure.
  2. Architecting and implementing IT projects.
  3. Escalating issues that cannot be resolved by desktop engineers or helpdesk staff.
  4. Working closely with Managers, Service Coordinators, and other Engineers to meet customer service-level commitments.
  5. Troubleshooting and resolving network and system issues.

Responsibilities also include maintaining existing systems, staying up-to-date with industry developments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to drive technical innovation and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance and stability of client networks, servers, and storage solutions.
  • Project Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement IT projects, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Issue Escalation: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues, working closely with desktop engineers and helpdesk staff to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with Managers, Service Coordinators, and Engineers to achieve exceptional customer service and meet SLAs.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of IT systems, technologies, and industry trends, applying this expertise to drive technical excellence and innovation within the organization.
