Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Structural Designer for our Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing structures in compliance with industry standards.

This role involves preparing foundation, steel structure & concrete structure designs calculations in compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will perform analysis and design using software like Space Gass, STAAD Pro, SACS, Tekla, E3D, or S3D.

  • Design Responsibilities:
  • Structural Design:
    • Fundamental structural calculations and designs;
    • Preparation of structural drawings and specifications;
    • Review and verification of design calculations and drawings;
  • Site Coordination:
    • Coordination with other engineering disciplines (piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) for seamless project execution;
    • Ensure that all work practices meet company policies and requirements;
    • Verify field conditions and assist in resolving problems during field construction;
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with industry standard software such as Space Gass, STAAD Pro, SACS, Tekla, E3D, or S3D;
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to convey complex design information effectively;

Skill Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of Australian Standards (AS) and international codes, as well as the ability to interpret and apply them to complex projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

A team-oriented approach is crucial in this position, as you will be working closely with other engineers and contractors to ensure the success of the project.
