L1 Field Support Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to provide technical support to users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide On-Site and Remote Support: Desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot Operating System and Application Issues: Windows, MS Office, email, etc.
  • Install, Configure, and Upgrade Hardware and Software: IT policies.
  • Manage User Accounts and Access Rights: Active Directory.
  • Support Connectivity Issues: LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, IP telephony.
  • Coordinate with Vendors: Hardware repairs or replacements.
  • Log Incidents and Service Requests: ITSM tool.
  • Assist with Onboarding/Offboarding Activities: Device setup, profile configurations.
  • Participate in IT Asset Inventory and Compliance Reporting:

The role requires strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking. Experience with Active Directory, Outlook/Exchange, and remote support tools is also required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a Related Field:
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience Supporting Mobile Devices and Collaboration Tools: Teams, Zoom, etc.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT End-User Support or Desktop Support. Familiarity with IT Security, Endpoint Protection, and Patching.
