Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations and Media Communications Specialist to support our corporate communication efforts across South India.

This role requires a candidate with excellent communication and storytelling skills, strong understanding of media operations and tools, and willingness to travel frequently across the South region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Media Outreach: Build and nurture relationships with journalists and media outlets in order to secure press coverage for our organization.
  2. Press Release Management: Create and manage press releases, editorial content, and media kits that effectively communicate our key messages to various audiences.
  3. PR Agency Coordination: Coordinate with PR agency partners to develop and implement effective media strategies and support media activities.
  4. Coverage Monitoring: Monitor and analyze industry communication trends, as well as track and report on media coverage to ensure our key messages are being conveyed.
  5. Event Management: Travel across South India to oversee on-ground PR activations and events, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  3. Media Operations: Strong understanding of media operations and tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, and other relevant technologies.
  4. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently across the South region, with a valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
  1. Healthcare Communications: Prior experience in healthcare communications, preferably in a similar role or capacity.
  2. Event Media Coordination: Exposure to media coordination for events or campaigns, with a proven track record of success in securing press coverage and managing event logistics.
