Job Summary

In this role, you will build Spectrum-based Android components and collaborate with mobile product teams to implement them effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop performant and complex UI components in the Android ecosystem using Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java.
  • Build and support frameworks or SDKs used by other developers.
  • Partner with designers to convert detailed designs into code and ensure a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define, build, support, and validate implementations of Spectrum in Adobe's Android products.
  • Communicate product engineering concerns back to design and help drive process improvements.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of how to build performant and complex UI components in the Android ecosystem, ideally having direct experience with the Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java (3+ years).
  • Passion for building user interface components with meticulous attention to design details.
  • Experience building and supporting frameworks or SDKs used by other developers.
  • Proficiency in git and GitHub.
  • Ability to work closely with designers and provide detailed feedback to team members.
  • Understanding of UI accessibility practices, standards, and testing methods.
Bonus Skills
  • Familiarity with the concepts behind design systems and their application in product development.
  • Hands-on experience with build, test, and release methods; such as linting, CI/CD tooling, software testing, and validation techniques.
