Cloud Architect Role

A Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent is necessary for this position.

The ideal candidate should possess a Red Hat Certified Architect certification or equivalent, as well as experience with Azure Cloud Architect, AWS Cloud Architect, and OCI Cloud Implementation.

  • At least 3 years of experience at a relevant technical role in large organizations are required.
  • Must have led one transformation project migration from on-prem workloads to a Public Cloud solution.
  • Expertise in Terraform and Ansible, including hands-on experience in migrating applications to the cloud, is crucial.
  • Managing pipelines using Jenkins and GITOPS driven configuration management and deployment are also essential skills.

Comparing services across Public Cloud providers is a must-have skill.

Understanding cloud adoption models, CPU Architectures, Storage, and Network connectivity is vital.

Knowledge of Windows internals, Public Cloud Technologies, API communications (Rest/Soap), and developing new consumer/publisher for any API is beneficial.

A conceptual understanding of infrastructure and how it works, DNS, SSL Communication, Active Directory, Certificates, Load balancers / Site Selectors / Firewall, Vault Tools, High Availability, and Agile methodologies are also desirable.

Excellent hands-on experience in configuration management, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform) is essential.

Scripting skills in Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, and Python are valuable.
