Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using Python to ensure efficient testing processes.
  • Selecting or identifying areas/test cases for automation and designing/implementing a test automation strategy.
  • Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
  • Work in partnership with development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality.
  • Act as a test lead, planning the work of other testing staff and assigning tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Design and develop test cases and test automation suites using Python.
  • Reviews and approves the work of project team members in writing scripts, expected results, test results, and defect descriptions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Software testing experience in all phases of testing including test planning, test execution, and test closure.
  • Excellent understanding of QA and testing methodologies, best practices.
  • 6+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester.
  • Must have skills in Python for test automation.
  • Experience of working with SOAP and REST service and understanding of SOA architecture.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks preferred.
  • Experience using SQL to query databases required.
  • Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with test data management techniques.
  • Experience with change management and defect tracking tools.
