HVAC Estimator Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Estimator to join our team.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring seamless collaboration for all projects.
  • Become proficient in all product offerings, estimation, and e-commerce software tools, staying up-to-date on industry advancements.
  • Create accurate quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests in a timely manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and purchase orders, guaranteeing precision in project scope, materials, and specifications.
  • Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests, assessing project feasibility and identifying potential issues.
  • Understand the scope of HVAC work to bid, making informed decisions for successful project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering department on new and current projects, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Prepare comprehensive job take-offs, ensuring accuracy in project scope, materials, and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively, securing favorable outcomes for both parties.
  • Knowledge of bidding software, streamlining the estimating process.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop budgets and time lines, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Multi-tasker and Organized, handling diverse responsibilities with ease.
  • Great customer service and a team attitude, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Attention to detail an asset, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in HVAC estimating, with a proven track record of success.
  • Works well independently or in a team environment, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledgeable in building and construction principles, providing valuable insights for project success.
