Job Title: Senior Broadband Estimator

We are seeking a seasoned Broadband Estimator who is passionate about the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry requirements for all outside plant engineering and construction needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Customer Proposals: Review customer-provided request for proposal documents to gain a thorough understanding, including project scope, proposal response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.
  • Develop Comprehensive Estimates: Develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates specifically tailored to each project.
  • Utilize Excel Expertise: Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high-level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms and pricing sheets for submittals.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct Thorough Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve estimating processes and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in estimating within the telecommunications industry.
  • Excel Expertise: Expertise in Excel with the ability to develop complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Self-Motivated Individual: Self-motivated individual with a strong passion for the industry and a drive for excellence.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial and/or industrial low voltage and/or fiber optic cabling project coordination and estimating as combined, related, and relevant.
  • Able to Read Blueprints: Able to read and understand blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
  • Compliance with Safety Procedures: Able to comply with and enforce risk management policies and safety procedures.
  • Experience Preparing Budgets: Experience preparing budgets for each project.
  • Knowledge of Construction Materials: Knowledge of construction materials, processes, trade practices, and equipment.
  • OSHA Certifications: OSHA 10, 30 Certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in using software suites such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills: Excellent written and communication skills in English.
