Key Challenges and Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to support our investment team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, economics or related fields and 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital or startup roles. A passion for climate innovation and sustainability is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify potential investment opportunities through research and preliminary outreach.
  • Support the team in financial analysis, market validation, and data collection for potential deals.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Track performance and impact metrics and conduct basic analyses for portfolio companies.
  • Conduct sectoral research to inform investment theses and track trends in climate tech and sustainability.
  • Coordinate GFC's presence at events and build databases of relevant ecosystem players.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related fields from a premier institution.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or startup roles; climate-focused work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills specific to early-stage investments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for climate innovation and sustainability.
