Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in stamping tooling development and moulding process development. They will be responsible for specifying, industrialising, and qualifying tools and components. The role requires collaboration with technical teams to define components and work with purchasing to select suppliers for stamping parts and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Specification: Prepare tool specifications, DFM, and strip layouts.
  • Tool Review: Review tool designs to ensure they can deliver robust parts and meet critical-to-quality (CTQs) requirements along with PFMEA.
  • Technology Selection: Select, validate, introduce, and standardize new technologies/processes locally in the stamping components domain.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate tool and part costing.
  • Scheduling: Plan and schedule tool manufacturing.
  • Process Parameters: Establish stamping process parameters.
  • Acceptance: Obtain plant acceptance and provide final sign-off on tools and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement actions for tools and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Tool and Die Making
  • 15+ years of experience in stamping tooling development and moulding process development
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
