Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Japan.

As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing 4W/2W vehicle components, including plastic, stamped sheet metal, casting, forging, and vehicle integration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD software, particularly UG-NX. Additionally, proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N3 or above) is required for effective communication with the team.

The successful candidate will also have hands-on experience with PLM software, such as Teamcenter, and excellent skills in 3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes is a plus.

  • Design of 4W/2W vehicle components considering component specifications that meet vehicle requirements.
  • Perform DFM, DFA, DFMEA.
  • Excellent skills in 3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in PLM (Teamcenter) is required to handle release process of design for various components and assembly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-7 years of relevant engineering and vehicle design experience.
  • Proficiency in JLPT N3 or above level Japanese language.
  • Hands-on experience with UG-NX.
  • Excellent skills in 3D modeling and 2D manufacturing drawings.
