Job Role Overview

Performance/Range/Environmental Testing Engineer

This role requires the development and implementation of testing procedures to ensure vehicle performance, including preparing DVPs for aggregates, conducting knowledge-based tests, and collaborating with design teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in test plan execution, data acquisition, and analysis.

  • Preparation of DVPs for aggregates on vehicle level performance
  • Knowledge of vehicle level performances and range tests
  • Development and implementation of testing procedures
  • Closely working with other departments for failures reporting and corrective action
  • Test vehicles preparation as per testing procedure with respect to design specification/standard requirement
  • Knowledge of pre-homologation test requirements and testing
  • Test plan execution on test tracks at various locations
  • Data acquisition and analysis of test results to identify issues and areas for improvement
  • Collaboration with engineering teams to develop solutions to problems and make recommendations for improvements to vehicle design and performance
  • Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant regulations and standards
Durability/Reliability Test Engineer

This role involves the preparation of DVPs for aggregates on vehicle level for various terrains, predicting component life, and identifying durability and reliability issues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in test plan execution, data acquisition, and analysis.

  • Preparation of DVPs for aggregates on vehicle level for various terrains
  • Prediction of component life
  • Knowledge of on-road durability
  • Knowledge of structural and accelerated durability
  • Closely working with other departments for failures reporting and corrective action
  • Ability to provide solutions for observed failures
  • Test plan execution at different routes
  • Data acquisition and duty cycle analysis
  • Highlighting issues to respective design teams during testing
