Lead Portfolio Manager

As a seasoned investment expert, you will lead our equity fund management team in designing and implementing value-oriented investment strategies with a proven track record of delivering long-term compounding and risk-adjusted returns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management: Develop and manage concentrated portfolios that prioritize margin of safety, downside protection, and valuations. Collaborate with the research team to define the fund's investment philosophy and asset allocation framework.
  • Research Leadership & Idea Generation: Drive internal investment discussions, challenge assumptions, and foster a collaborative research culture. Lead research efforts to generate unique investment ideas through fundamental analysis, industry tracking, and valuation analysis.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Monitor portfolio-level risk metrics, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and implement stop-loss protocols where necessary.
  • Client Communication & Thought Leadership: Present portfolio rationale and updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Engage in investor calls and industry events to promote the fund's strategy and insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Indian capital markets, including at least 6 years in independent fund management with a closing AUM of at least $100 million.
  • Proven ability to exceed benchmark performance by at least 5% post-tax and fees on a rolling basis.
  • Ability to implement unique strategies and avoid herd mentality.
  • Finance degree such as Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, or an MBA from a prestigious institution.
  • High levels of integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements.
