Investment Strategist

We seek an experienced investment strategist to oversee our equity portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in value-oriented investments with a focus on long-term growth and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage equity portfolios with a focus on long-term compounding, margin of safety, and downside protection.
  • Define and execute the fund's investment philosophy, asset allocation, and stock-picking framework.
  • Maintain concentrated portfolios with deep research-backed ideas.
  • Ensure active portfolio rebalancing based on valuations, business changes, or risk triggers.

Research Leadership & Idea Generation:

  • Independently generate investment ideas through fundamental research and industry tracking.
  • Lead internal investment discussions, challenge assumptions, and foster a collaborative research culture.
  • Identify and build thematic frameworks for equity investment.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Monitor portfolio-level risk metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal risk management frameworks.
  • Implement stop-loss and position-exit protocols as necessary.

Client Communication & Thought Leadership:

  • Presentation of portfolio rationale and updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Drafting investor notes and thought pieces to articulate fund strategy and insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBAs, CFA Charterholders, CAs, or equivalent advanced financial credentials.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Indian capital markets with at least 6 years in independent fund management.
  • Proven ability to exceed benchmark performance by at least 5% post-tax and fees on a rolling basis.
  • Finance degree from a prestigious institution is preferred.
  • High levels of integrity and impeccable track record in adhering to regulatory requirements.
