Accounts Payable Manager Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing global operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

This position involves working closely with onshore counterparts, customers, and business managers to resolve issues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review team operations, specialized transactions, and service quality to ensure seamless performance.
  2. Ensure tasks are completed according to the process responsibility matrix and regional requirements for optimal results.
  3. Demonstrate expertise in issue resolution, providing permanent fixes for recurring issues that impact productivity.
  4. Define, implement, and monitor process-related updates and changes to drive continuous improvement.
  5. Provide timely and accurate data to auditors for various AP-related audits, maintaining transparency and accountability.

People Management:

  • Coach and develop team members, including hiring, firing, assessing, disciplining, documenting performance, succession planning, and recommending salary and classification changes to foster growth.
  • Work on minimizing attrition and directing efforts to ensure team productivity is measured, scored, and communicated according to standards for excellence.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant fields.
  • Relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience, showcasing adaptability and versatility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft or other enterprise financial systems and Microsoft Office, highlighting technical proficiency.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and developing people, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear expression of ideas and strategies.
  • Ability to function effectively in different time zones, leveraging cultural competence and flexibility.
