Senior Program Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our nutrition initiatives, driving strategic planning, technical leadership, and program management to strengthen our portfolio and ensure impactful outcomes.

The Senior Program Lead will be responsible for:

  • Contribution to reviewing and updating strategy from time to time in consultation with key stakeholders, including conducting background desk research and real-life ground assessments and identifying potential needs;
  • Expansion of the organization's nutrition program with a focus on high-priority geographies;
  • Development of comprehensive program plans, delivery models, monitor frameworks, and scale-up roadmaps for new and existing nutrition initiatives and programs;
  • Identification and initiation of strategic nutrition partnerships with like-minded stakeholders;
  • Initiation, support, and delivery on any high-priority assignments as mandated by the organization.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PhD, Master's, or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, Food and Nutrition policies and programs, Public Policy, Development Studies, and related disciplines;
  • 15 years of experience in public health nutrition, food, and related program development, research, and policy;
  • Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making will be an asset;
  • Experience in research and program evaluation will be essential;
  • Experience in landscaping and gap analysis, curating problem statements, theory of change, logical framework analysis, or results framework is strongly desirable;
  • Experience in budget management is important with program and grant management exposure;
  • Experience in partnerships and relationship management with diverse stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A deep commitment, passion, and experience in the social development sector;
  • Awareness and knowledge of field realities and social complexities with a focus on communities;
  • Good understanding and experience of using theory of change-based program design;
  • Skill in proposal assessment and evaluation;
  • Excellent communication skills with command over spoken and written English and Hindi;

  • Proficient in computer skills (ie: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Google Suite, etc.);

This is a fixed-term employment opportunity, requiring occasional travel to different locations in the country, including remote areas, at least 10-15 days in a month.
