Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to provide high-level technical assistance and support for our systems. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in Tandem systems, Linux, and Windows, as well as expertise in various database technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing production and application support during business hours, ensuring system stability, performance, and timely issue resolution. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong understanding of ITIL processes and ticketing tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide L2/L3 support for applications and systems running on Tandem, Linux, and Windows platforms
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot issues across multiple database environments, including SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, etc.
  3. Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades for supported systems
  4. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement fixes
  5. Ensure timely communication and documentation of issue resolutions and root cause analysis

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Tandem HP NonStop systems
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience with Sybase, Oracle, and other relational databases
  • Experience in production support, incident management, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools
