Project Manager Role

This position is part of a team supporting project delivery. The team works under the supervision of a senior or project engineer, carrying out various functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Feasibility Studies
  • Work with the team to assemble design specifications compliant with employer requirements.
  • Agree and monitor scope of works with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Define building requirements and purpose of use for detailed design.
  • Conduct detailed design to WSP and B Regulations standard.
  • Review and monitor calculation production.
  • Ensure project costing preparation information is completed in detail and on time.
  • Provide documentary information to assist in tender document preparation.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents and review input from team members.
  • Address day-to-day queries from the team.
  • Report any variance between constructed works and design intent.
  • Project manage commissions using applicable tools.
  • Lead the design process, encouraging the team to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
  • Follow document control and archiving processes.
Key Competencies/Skills:
  • Mandatory Skills:
    • Proven experience in designing Building Structures.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Fully conversant with technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, and SAFE.
    • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
    • Fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Desired Skills:
    • Good management, communication, and technical skills.
  • Qualifications:
    • The applicant should have British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
