Project Management Role Overview

This position oversees the IT Project Management Office, ensuring successful execution of all IT projects. It plays a hands-on project management part for critical IT initiatives and leads a team of project managers and coordinators.

The role is accountable for IT Portfolio processes including IT planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management. Implementing project management standards across the IT project portfolio, it supervises and mentors the project management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective IT Portfolio strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Supervise project teams through all project phases and ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Implement effective project communication, manage project risks, and provide leadership to project teams.
  • Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives and deliver high-quality results.
  • Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding, and required processes.
  • Create staffing plans and make recommendations regarding long-term contractors or full-time additions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in complex IT project management.
  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile).
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Background in Business Analysis and proven experience managing an IT Portfolio or PMO.
  • Prior team leadership/supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
