Digital Transformation Strategist

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive IT and digital transformation at our client. This strategic leadership role will own and lead the development of technology strategies across group companies and business units, enabling growth and innovation.

This position will establish a solid IT foundation that supports business objectives and differentiates our client in the market by positioning them as a customer-centric organization.

The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for defining the technology vision, roadmap, architecture, and implementation of IT/digital transformation. They will work closely with business unit leaders to help our client become a lean and agile organization.

This role will drive application modernization and migration plans across the business, transforming the way our client leverages technology and enables automation across the organization.

The CTO will define an integrated data management approach and build an AI-enabled business analytics capability, helping our client monetize data and leverage it for superior experience and business value creation.

While building a comprehensive security framework for our client, this role will visualize and build customer/employee-centric experience platforms connecting the organization.

The CTO will report to the CEO and be responsible for giving oversight and direction to IT and business leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for shared services and economies of scale.

• Develop and implement the technology and digital transformation vision and strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
• Position our client as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility – own innovation charter across the organization.
• Advise the senior management team on emerging technologies and digital trends most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.
• Define futuristic IT architecture focused on customer/employee-centric systems – delivering seamless omni-channel experiences across sales and service.
• Able to work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate a technology vision and strategy across all levels of the organization, and build consensus around key initiatives and projects.
• Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• AOP & IT Budget Management. Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize return on investment.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and motivate a high-performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.

• Over 20 years of experience in IT/Tech – preferably in retail organizations or services companies while managing end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises.
• Experience in digital transformation for enterprises – experience with retail industry preferred – spanning across business processes.
• Experience with omnichannel systems required for a new generation retailer.
• Experience across applications, infrastructure, network, and end-user IT environment operations.
• Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture – spanning applications, data, and security.
• Experience in establishing an IT governance model across the organization.
• Experience in DevOps transformation.
• Experience in Process transformation.
• Exposure to AI and automation technologies.
• Willingness to take risks and ability to start from scratch.
• Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT services – experience in building and managing a partner ecosystem.
• Front-line leadership and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of Technology and architecture concepts – Industry trends/disruptors.
