Product Strategist - Banking, Finance, Insurance

Our organization is seeking an experienced Product Strategist to lead and deliver transformational initiatives across Credit Analysis, Insurance, and Risk & Compliance domains. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of business analysis, product ownership, and domain expertise, with proven ability to translate business needs into customer-centric digital solutions.

The Product Strategist will work closely with stakeholders, business SMEs, and cross-functional Agile teams to define vision, manage product backlogs, and drive delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in your respective domain (Credit, Insurance, or Risk & Compliance).
  • Own, manage, and prioritize the product backlog using Agile best practices.
  • Draft and refine user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with stakeholders (business, IT, compliance, actuarial, underwriting, risk teams) to capture requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives.
  • Support build, testing, UAT, training, and rollout activities.
  • Monitor product performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction; drive continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to enhance processes and user experience.

Domain Tracks

Credit Analysis

  • Expertise in credit assessment processes and regulatory reporting.
  • Subject Matter Expert on RWA calculator (RWA, RoRWA, EL calculation).
  • Experience in credit transformation initiatives.

Insurance (Life, Health, General)

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance.
  • Experience in digital insurance product development.
  • Proven ability to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Risk & Compliance

  • Experience in risk assessment, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to manage project/product delivery with regulatory considerations.
  • Hands-on in backlog refinement and product tracking for risk-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

Requirements include 7+ years of total experience, including 4+ years as a Product Owner. Essential skills include strong business analysis & documentation skills, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, and proven stakeholder management & communication skills. A track record of delivering high-impact digital products in BFSI is also desired.
