IT Service Manager - A Leadership Role in IT Operations


">About the Job

The role of an IT Service Manager is pivotal to the success of any organization. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your assigned team members and ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise will be crucial in planning and implementing service initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives.


">Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Ensure the efficient operation of the assigned subordinate team members, sustain appropriate service level agreements, maintain documentation for policies and procedures, and design and implement future support offerings.
  • Strategy & Planning: Contribute to strategic technology planning and direction, understand business needs, educate staff on technology, and stay up-to-date with key service development/issues within the technology and accounting industry.
  • Leadership: Provide direction and support to the service team, help develop personal goals, coach team members, identify and delegate areas of responsibility, select and assign staff, evaluate and verify team member performance, and ensure equal opportunity is afforded to projects based on work quality and ability to meet deadlines.

">Requirements
  • Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, minimum of 7-10 years on-hands service experience, CISA certified preferred, proven successful execution/completion of technology projects, experience with Windows 10 management technologies, Microsoft Office 365 technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, demonstrated managerial and mentoring abilities, naturally self-motivated and detailed oriented, resourceful and innovative problem-solving abilities, passion for technology service and interest in exploring new methodologies, willingness to travel, and ability to be flexible with work schedule hours.
