About the Maternal Anemia Project:

The Maternal Anemia Project targets pregnant and lactating women in Meghalaya, focusing on reducing the incidence of moderate and severe anemia. This project involves a multi-faceted approach, working closely with state and district-level government authorities to ensure targeted, sustainable interventions.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement the project at the district level, collaborating with the state project lead.
  2. Facilitate deliverables, obtaining necessary government approvals from relevant authorities as required.
  3. Monitor technical aspects of ongoing project activities through field visits, meetings with government officials, healthcare providers, community stakeholders, and partners.
  4. Coordinate with division district officials and partners for various project-related activities.
  5. Work closely with district authorities to implement project activities.
  6. Maintain documentation, prepare reports, document case studies, presentations, and best practices.
  7. Support Anemia Mukt Bharat-related activities at the district level.
  8. Deploy, train HCWs to improve anemia interventions within the district.
  9. Organize capacity-building initiatives related to maternal anemia in districts, strengthening data collection systems, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
