Job Title: Community Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to lead our community health initiatives in the northeastern region of India.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project activities, planning and implementing effective interventions, and evaluating their impact. They will work closely with local stakeholders and consultants to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including coordination with health system actors and submission of regular progress reports.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage with local communities, promoting participatory learning and action approaches to address health-related issues.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Masters in Public Health or a related field (essential)
  • PhD in Public Health or a related field (desirable)
  • Experience in community-based projects, particularly in the northeast region of India
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in local languages (Khasi or Garo) and English
