Job Summary

The Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator will implement, configure, maintain and optimize critical Oracle RDBMS systems to ensure availability and performance for clients.

This role requires solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities as well as a hands-on approach.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with assigned client base through regular communication.
  • Maintain multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms ensuring operational readiness in on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems manage databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and lead cloud migration initiatives.
  • Design high availability and disaster recovery solutions monitor performance using Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), Active Session History (ASH), Enterprise Manager (OEM) and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations collaborate with cloud architects and application teams ensure database security and compliance.
  • Participate in capacity planning architecture reviews provide on-call support.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems Real Application Clusters (RAC) Oracle ASM (ASM) and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning execution.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is required AWS cloud databases are a plus.
