Job Title: Manager - Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close of various accounting processes by validating accruals, reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, reserve models, and conducting fluctuation analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, SOX controls and documentation.
  • Work directly with internal and external audit teams to support the audit by providing supporting schedules, evidence, and process overviews.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate revenue accounting processes including data reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Manage a team to accomplish tasks accurately and within specified deadlines.
  • Prepare schedules to support monthly reviews, quarterly audits, 10Q and 10K reporting processes.
  • Partner with Finance functions and collaborate to ensure alignment.
  • Execute ad-hoc deliverables related to new system implementations and process improvements.
  • Analyze large volumes of data and summarize key findings.
  • Develop, coach, mentor and provide feedback to team members.
  • Monitor compliance with Corporate Accounting instructions and applicable financial policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting operations or Shared Service Centres in a multinational environment.
  • Accounting, analyzing information, attention to details, deadline oriented, thoroughness in deliverables, teamwork spirit, excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of US SOX Compliance requirements with practical experiences.
  • Strong domain expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, and other revenue recognition principles.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn quickly. Knowledge of tools like Oracle, Workday Financials, Blackline, eGRC360, Tableau, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel is desirable.
  • Possession of passion for process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to engage peers, team members and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly to various requests.
  • Self-starter with emotional intelligence, leadership skills and ability to manage diverse personalities and skill sets.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
