Job Title: Senior Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to oversee various financial activities including Cost Accounting, Intercompany transactions, and Billing. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and analytical skills to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain Cost Accounting master data and standard costs for centralized management.
  2. Manage Global master data for Intercompany transactions, including customer and vendor setup.
  3. Prepare Intercompany Billing and Transfer Price Adjustments.
  4. Engage with External Services Providers to coordinate activities and review results.
  5. Reconcile relevant general ledger accounts (e.g. goods in transit).
  6. Ensure internal controls meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
  7. Partner with Corporate groups to ensure proper accounting of inter-company related transactions.
  8. Identify and drive standardization of procedures to improve cost efficiency.
  9. Provide audit/reporting support for requests from Corporate External Reporting and Corporate Audit.
  10. Support ERP and automation implementations to ensure proper design and training.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 4-6 years of Finance experience OR Bachelors degree and 6-8 years of Finance experience OR Diploma and 10-12 years of Finance experience.
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Resourceful leader who can connect the dots across matrixed organization.
  • Managerial and financial experience in a global, multi-site corporation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or MBA.
  • Chartered Accountant (Certified public accountant), CMA, CFE or other professional certification relevant to the accounting profession.
  • Extensive accounting and FP&A experience.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in parallel.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Experience with global finance operations.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Finance transformation experience involving recent technology advancements.
  • Prior multinational capability center experience.
  • Experience with SAP (ECC and/or S4), Blackline, Workiva, Tableau/PowerBI.
