Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Service Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and facilitate automotive services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to explain complex automotive concepts to non-technical visitors, and have a compassionate and patient demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, greeting them, explaining our services, and collecting payment
  • Determine the reason for their visit through verbal interview and visual assessment of their vehicle
  • Connect customers with the appropriate mechanic or technician
  • Consult with mechanics regarding service options and develop cost-effective solutions
  • Explain all service options to customers, including time and cost estimates
  • Advise customers on warranty protections and potential cost-saving service options
  • Track maintenance or repair status and fill out reports on labor and costs
  • Perform post-service inspections and answer customer questions
  • Ring up customers at the front desk and facilitate financial transactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and notifying customers when their vehicles are ready for pick-up

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex automotive concepts to non-technical visitors
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
