Job Overview

The Indian Institute of Art and Design invites applications for a Senior Executive in the IT Department.

This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the strategic implementation and maintenance of IT solutions that support the academic, administrative, and research needs of the university community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Implement and manage software deployment, updates, and patching across the university's systems.
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the university's wired and wireless networks.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
  • Administer and support key university applications, including Learning Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, and other academic/administrative software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
  • Proven experience working in a university or educational environment is a significant advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional.
  • Experience with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
About the Role

As a Senior Executive in the IT Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, providing advanced technical support, and implementing and managing software deployment.

Additionally, you will assist in the administration and maintenance of the university's wired and wireless networks, manage and maintain server infrastructure, and administer and support key university applications.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.

Proven experience working in a university or educational environment is highly desirable.
