Job Summary:

This role involves providing comprehensive support to attorneys in litigation matters. Key responsibilities include assisting with case inception, discovery, trials, and post-trial procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with proven experience as a litigation paralegal. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in legal research tools are essential for success in this position.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception through discovery, trial, and post-trial procedures.
  • Organize and manage case files, conduct factual research, draft legal documents, and provide overall support to attorneys in preparation for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and completeness, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Conduct factual research and investigation using various legal and non-legal resources.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other meetings, and communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel as needed.
  • Maintain and update databases and document management systems, and provide administrative support, including calendar management, billing, and expense tracking.
  • Stay current with local, state, and federal court rules and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's/ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), familiarity with electronic document management systems, and preferred qualifications include experience with trial preparation and courtroom procedures, knowledge of e-discovery tools and practices, and familiarity with case management software.
