Job Overview:

  • Seeking a diligent and proactive Legal Intern to support our legal team.
  • The role offers hands-on experience in legal research, drafting, case preparation, and client interaction.
  • Excellent opportunity to gain practical skills and exposure to various aspects of law in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare summaries.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and memos.
  • Support the legal team in case preparation, organizing evidence and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support such as filing, maintaining case files, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist in client communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and firm procedures.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other team members on assigned projects.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  • Strong academic record with keen interest in legal practice.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
  • Integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or work experience in a legal setting.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Understanding of areas of law relevant to Legivista's practice.
