Electrical Design Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for projects, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical system design principles, as well as experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design software.

You will work closely with lead engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and constraints. Additionally, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, structural, and architectural designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for projects, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
  • Create and review electrical design drawings, such as single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, and panel schedules.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with local, national, and international standards, including electrical codes and regulations.
  • Support the creation of electrical specifications, including the selection of electrical equipment, components, and materials.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, structural, and architectural designs.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate technical reports, design calculations, and supporting documentation for the electrical systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with experience in developing electrical systems for infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in creating electrical designs using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design software.
  • Familiarity with electrical design codes and standards.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control circuits, and panel design.
  • Familiarity with electrical system protection, grounding, and circuit breaker coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
